Gifts for French students 🇫🇷 7 ideas that will make them happy

ideas of Gifts for French students
In this article, you are going to discover 7 ideas of gifts for French students.

Gifting is truly an art. There are people for whom it’s easy, and people for whom it’s… a tad more complicated. I’m one of the second kind. My mind goes blank when it comes to finding a good idea.

On trick that helped me was to find a theme that they like. For example, my brothers are hunters. So I usually look for anything with a deer on it. Makes the gift a little more personal than a generic scented candle for women, and socks for men.

So you have a French student in your family or in your friends? And you need to give them something? Or YOU are a French learner and you want to treat yourself? Here are a few ideas of gifts for French students.

To make the list, I selected only useful gifts for their French journey (especially if it’s something they wouldn’t buy for themselves but that could help them a lot) or a reminder of why they are learning French.

Shall we?

Special Christmas 2021 - A French learner diary/planner to help them progress faster

woman using the French student planner

When you are a French student, and you want to become a better French speaker, you need constant contact with the language. And what is it that you constantly use? Your planner!

That’s why this year, I’ve decided to create the ideal planner for French students.

It’s a beautiful object, that anyone learning French would be happy to receive and carry around everywhere.

It’s functional, with yearly, monthly, and weekly goal sections to progress faster, as well as daily pages to write down everything that needs to be done everyday. There is also enough space to take notes.

And it’s educational, with a monthly quote about French, as well as a weekly essay question. The entire interior of the planner is in French: including the months, the days, the quotes, and the questions. With all of this, French will become easy.

Special Christmas 2021 - A 2021 French Calendar to remind them why they are learning French

Inside of the French calendars

Every language learner knows that sometimes we run out of motivation for the day. And if we’re not careful, this day can turn into a month.

When we would just need a small reminder why we are learning French in the first place.

How about a new motivation every month?

With these two 2021 calendar, there is no reason to stop learning French anymore.

The first edition is a Paris Edition, for those French students who want to travel the world and discover what it is like to live in Paris. Every month, they will discover a new joy of Parisian life, or a new place to visit in their dreams (or in real life).

The second edition is for those who are in love with French people. Every month, a famous one will come and say something smart (in French of course). Contains quotes from Coco Chanel, Napoléon, Voltaire,…

It’s one of the most perfect gifts for French students who love France.

Fun French lessons, right in their pockets

phone in french

Learning French should be fun. And it should be done often. When I teach, I usually use games, especially with kids (but also with older kids 😁).

Imagine being able to gift fun… Would be great right?

Well that’s what our partner, Drops, does.

Drops is a language learning app, and it works just like a game. You learn new words and phrases in French, while playing on your phone.

What sets Drops apart from other apps, is that it doesn’t claim to teach you all on its own. Apps aren’t enough if you are serious about learning French. But, it’s a very fun way to learn new vocabulary.

One I use myself.

Drops is the perfect gift for students who spend a lot of time on their phones and who like to play.

Note that they can learn several languages with the same subscription.

Material to learn specific parts of the French language

how to learn french verb quickly

There is nothing more painful than being stuck on something. When you want to understand French verbs but you can’t find how to learn them properly for example.

French students know this, and they often have a hard time finding just the RIGHT thing to unblock them.

That’s what I do. I create ways to unblock French students. And I have a whole school full of lessons, workshop, courses and guides to help French students.

Why not taking a look at the school and gifting one of my products?

I advise you do this with the student, so they can chose what will unblock them.

Here is a list of what is currently available on the School:

  • A workshop to make learning French verbs easier
  • An audio workshop to learn to listen to French and distinguish sounds
  • A guide to French sentence structure, to understand what people mean and better communicate
  • A workshop to learn to read and write French stories
  • Themed sentence packs with audio to learn correct French sentences, expressions and slang
